SPELL AND WRITE

(A) test directions: teacher reads from the following set of words and students write and spell the word.

-at:cat, sat, mat, bat, rat. (A cat sat on the mat.)
-op: hop, top, mop,stop, shop. (The pup did not hop. Mom did hop.)
-in: pin, in, win, fin, tin can. (put the pin in. you did win!)
-un: run, fun, sun. (come run. Come run in the sun. it will be fun.)
-en: ten, hen, pen (See the hen. The hen is in a pen. See the nest. See ten eggs in the nest.)

PLURALS: hens, pens, dogs, cows.
-an: can, man, ran (Stan got the can. Stan ran. Can the man get Stan? Yes, he can.)

ADDITIONAL WORDS: van, pan, Stan, fan.
-ot: pot, got, hot (Is the pot hot? It is hot. Dad got the hot pot.)

ADDITIONAL WORDS: cot, dot.
-ig: pig, dig, big (See the big pig. See the pig dig. Stop, pig, stop! Do not dig!)
