Installed as a service as per docs. Nothing special. I installed mysqlcc for all server duties, because mysql is shit in that little win2k msdos non-resize window.

clients

just one choice: mysqlcc. Looks same as on linux

how to install the ODBC driver

pretty easy. Downloaded odbc driver from link on www.mysql.com, it self-installed. Then start the ODBC manager in ControlPanel/AdministrativeTools and follow the directions at mysql.com/products/myodbc

The following ADO(ActiveX Data Objects) sample creates a table my_ado and demonstrates the usage of rs.addNew, rs.delete and rs.update.
